Special Raffles - you need not be present to win

Raffle for a Stretched Canvas Giglee Print of Jennifer Kane's original commemorative oil painting of Galbraith Gap

$5 raffle tickets are available now through January 27, 2012.

The winner will be drawn at "For the Love of Art & Chocolate".

Talented local landscape artist, Jennifer Kane, created a 30” x 40” commemorative original oil painting of the 152-acre property that ClearWater acquired in Galbraith Gap.  In a new twist from past years, the original will be sold to benefit ClearWater Conservancy.  This year's raffle will be for a 24"x32" Stretched Canvas Giclee Print of the original painting.  Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each this year, and all proceeds from both the raffle and the sale of the original painting will go to ClearWater's Operation Conservation campaign in support of future land conservation projects.

This is the fifth painting in a commemorative series of works by Jennifer Kane based on ClearWater’s conserved lands. The painting process included sketching, painting and photographing the subject on location, then creating a larger, 30”x40” piece in the studio over the next several months.  The finished original painting is wired and has painted edges, ready to display.

Donation valued at $1,200.

Limited edition prints of the 2007 painting of Musser Gap, the 2008 painting of Fisher Farm, and the 2009 painting of Tussey View Farm, and the 2010 painting of the Barrens to Bald Eagle Wildlife Corridor are also now available for purchase from Jennifer Kane.

Jennifer Kane is a professional landscape and portrait artist and painting instructor.  She grew up in the scenic Shawnee National Forest area of southern Illinois.  Her education includes a BFA in Painting and an MFA in Theatre Design from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign.  Her work is collected internationally, and has appeared in many regional juried shows and exhibits, including the Art of the State show in Harrisburg and the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts.  Jennifer's work is on permanent display at the corporate headquarters of the Knight Foundation in Miami, FL.  Also, she was chosen as the first place artist in oil painting for the book, "Best of Artists: Pennsylvania".
