Please join us for February’s Adventure in Conservation at Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center this Saturday, February 18 at 1:00 pm. Jason Beale, Shaver’s Creek’s Program Director of Live Animal Care, will give a presentation on the raptors of Pennsylvania. A tour of the resident raptors will follow the presentation. Cost is $10 per person and registration is limited to 30 participants. Children under 16 are free.
Nestled in Penn State’s 7,000-acre Stone Valley Experimental Forest, Shaver’s Creek is not only a place for children and families to discover the natural world, but a field laboratory for Penn State students and faculty to carry out research in the areas of environmental education; plant sciences; recreation, park, and tourism management, and more.
