Otto's Golf-Fest

2011 Otto's Golf-Fest

We dodged hurricane Irene this year by a day and ended up with a picture perfect day on the course. With the support of generous sponsors, donors and golfers we raised over $63,000 for natural resource conservation in central Pennsylvania at the 8th Annual Otto's Golf-Fest... another new record!

New this year... all on-the-course money-makers and any special donations were designated specifically for the purchase of Galbraith Gap.  All of our golfers can take pride in the special role they played in protecting this recreationally- and ecologically-significant property.

The event was held on August 29, 2011 at the State College Elks Club, which gave the golfers a spectacular view of Galbraith Gap, just west of the Tussey Mountain ski slopes.  It also provided us a great opportunity to highlight the stream and riparian restoration work that is happening at the State College Elks golf course in cooperation with ClearWater and our Riparian Conservation Program.

A special thanks once again to the State College Elks Club for generously providing a special incentive to the major sponsors of Otto's Golf-Fest.  Silver Sponsors received one and Gold Sponsors received two "Golden Ticket" to redeem for a complimentary round of golf for two.
