ClearWater Conservancy Celebrates Success of Art & Chocolate Fundraising Event

Clearwater Conservancy is thrilled to announce the resounding success of its annual Art & Chocolate fundraising event, held on February 2, 2024, at 3 Dots Downtown in State College. The event brought together art enthusiasts, conservation supporters, and chocolate connoisseurs for an evening of fun and philanthropy with a total raised of more than $31,000.

Art & Chocolate, now in its 26th year, serves as a cornerstone in ClearWater Conservancy's efforts to raise crucial funds for conservation projects throughout central Pennsylvania. This year's event surpassed all expectations, thanks to the unwavering support of our generous donors, sponsors, and attendees.

Highlights of the evening included:

Art Exhibition: Attendees were treated to a stunning display of artwork by local artists, showcasing a diverse range of mediums and styles. From vibrant paintings to intricate sculptures, the exhibition captivated guests and provided a platform for talented artists to share their creativity and love of local landscapes. The donated art had been on display in the 3 Dots gallery space since December 2023, allowing for a wider audience to view these incredible works before they went home with auction winners.

Super Sweet Treats: Indulgence reached new heights with an array of decadent chocolates from local bakeries and restaurants. Guests savored delicious treats and tasty beverages at the event, and some had the chance to continue the fun at home with Super Sweet boxes filled with even more delicious delicacies.

Online Auction: One-of-a-kind artwork, unique experiences, and fabulous gifts were up for bidding. More than 50 local businesses and individuals donated items that were bid on by fellow community members in support of ClearWater’s work.

Community Spirit: The free event brought together neighbors and friends for a night of fun in the winter months. The attendance of more than 150 people throughout the evening highlighted the importance of preserving our natural heritage and the critical role of community support in environmental stewardship.

"We are overwhelmed by the incredible outpouring of support for our Art & Chocolate event," said Donnan Stoicovy, Interim Executive Director of ClearWater Conservancy. "This event not only raises vital funds for our conservation efforts but also fosters a sense of community and shared purpose. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making this evening a tremendous success."

ClearWater Conservancy extends heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, volunteers, artists, vendors, and attendees who helped make this year’s Art & Chocolate a triumph. Together, we are making a tangible difference in protecting and preserving the natural beauty of central Pennsylvania for generations to come.
