STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - April 2, 2026 - Today, ClearWater Conservancy announces the launch of a refreshed brand featuring a new logo, typeface, and a modern visual identity that reflects the organization’s evolution and role in addressing contemporary environmental challenges.
This brand update arrives at a pivotal moment for ClearWater, as the organization expands its conservation impact, deepens its partnerships, and prepares to welcome the community into its new permanent home at the Hamer Community Conservation Center. The refreshed look is designed to honor the decades of grassroots support that built ClearWater while carrying that legacy forward into an even stronger future.

“ClearWater remains the organization our community knows and values, and while any change takes adjustment, the timing happens to be perfect,” said Board President Donnan Stoicovy. “With a new home, an expanding regional presence, and a growing community to serve, our dedicated staff and responsible board are ready to guide ClearWater into its next chapter with a strong, modern image.”

ClearWater Conservancy’s new logo mark was intentionally crafted to represent its commitment to connecting, protecting, restoring, and stewarding the natural resources of Central Pennsylvania. Every element of the emblem works together to convey these guiding principles.
The mark features three core components: a shield, a fingerprint, and flowing lines.
A modern, organic shield shape symbolizes our responsibility to safeguard the landscapes and waters we all depend on. Its form is intentionally reminiscent of a leaf or acorn, reinforcing themes of growth, resilience, and a connection to nature.

The fingerprint pattern represents the lasting mark of every individual – every volunteer, partner, landowner, and supporter – who contributes to conservation efforts. It reflects the collective responsibility we share and the power of community-driven impact.
The flowing lines evoke rivers, topography, rolling hills, sun rays, and the ripple effect of positive action. Each step we take together expands far beyond the initial movement.

In addition to ClearWater’s updated brand identity, Centred Outdoors, one of the organization’s leading programs, has also unveiled a refreshed logo. The updated Centred Outdoors mark was designed to extend and complement ClearWater Conservancy’s new visual identity, ensuring the two brands maintain a strong and intentional connection.
Consistent use of iconography and visual styles across both brands helps improve clarity, accessibility, and connection for participants, partners, and supporters. This approach ensures that whether someone is joining a Centred Outdoors outing or attending a conservation event, they immediately recognize their experience as part of ClearWater’s broader mission to connect people with nature.
“With our new permanent home at the Hamer Community Conservation Center, ClearWater is entering a transformative new chapter. As we move into a contemporary space, a modern signage system became essential,” said Executive Director, Elizabeth Crisfield.

ClearWater Conservancy's new facility is being brought to life through the architectural design expertise of Bohlin Cywinski Jackson (BCJ) and the construction management team at Alexander Building Construction. The Hamer Community Conservation Center is a 10,392-square-foot, two-story facility designed to serve as a vibrant hub for community engagement, environmental education, and conservation leadership across the region.

“As an accredited land trust, transparency and integrity are at the heart of our work. The elements of this logo symbolize our promise to members, partners, and landowners that we will always act in the best interests of conserving Central Pennsylvania’s landscapes and waterways,” said Crisfield.
ClearWater will celebrate the new brand, a website release, and the opening of the Hamer Community Conservation Center with a series of community events throughout the year. As part of these celebrations, volunteers participating in Watershed Cleanup Day on April 18 will also receive exclusive swag featuring the new logo.
